Showered with Love
We had our first wedding shower, and it was amazing!
I got to spend some quality time with my mom and Aunt, and took full advantaged of having a backyard. We lounged in the PERFECT weather, drank wine, and read. It was so wonderful.
I grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and my mom recently moved back to Lambertville, Michigan (just up the street from Toledo). Because none of the cities are super hoppin', we took my future Mother-in-laws up to Detroit and Ann Arbor as a part of their visit.
I lived in Toledo for 18 years, and had somehow never made it up to the Detroit Institute of Art. I was beyond impressed with the museum's collection, much less the building itself!
My future MIL is really in to art, and she told us about the Diego Rivera mural.
The mural, and entire museum, were really beautiful!
From Detroit we headed to Ann Arbor to show off this cute college towns – one of my favorites!
For dinner we headed to Vinology, and had some seriously delicious food.
We had our shower on Saturday, and my mom worked her butt off to make it absolutely perfect.
Any time spent with family is perfect to me, and we couldn't feel more loved. We're almost to the 6 month mark to our wedding! What on earth will I blog about once the wedding is over (wink, wink).
Check back next week, I am going to put together a little DIY post about these planters my mom made as shower gifts!
