If you haven't noticed, I don't really post a lot of outfit photos on Instagram. As I've mentioned before, I love fashion. I look at it as a form of art – a great way for people to let their personality out – after all, it's the first thing people see! But I am still at a point where I am not 100% comfortable with having a blog, and I have a hard time taking photos.
When starting this blog I was worried that people would think I was really full of myself, and I still feel this sometimes, like when it comes to taking photos (especially of myself). I have to come back and remind myself that the reason I started this blog was to have a creative outlet, and to keep up with the latest social media trends.
My goal for the next coming months is to try to stop caring so much about what people think, and just try things out. If I want to take a photo of a carrot I'm having at dinner, I am just going to DO IT. If I want to take a picture of an outfit that I think is cute – why not?!
Part of the reason I'm feeling more empowered about being comfortable in my own skin is because I joined a really awesome group of (mostly) ladies that are using social media outlets to show all the great things going on in Chicago. The group calls themselves Chicagogrammers. It was seriously so awesome to meet people that have the same interests as me, and are looking for similar ways to let their creativity flow. Coming from ALL different backgrounds, it was interesting to see the way social media brings so many different people together.
We went to Bernie's Lunch & Supper, which was SO fun and the food was delicious. I mean, just check out this decor!
With all this said, I totally forgot to take a snap of the outfit I wore, and after getting a handful of compliments I wanted to pay it forward and share details on the outfit – especially this super affordable, and super cute top!
