We are quickly learning that one of the best things about summer in Chicago is that there are different street festivals every weekend. Not only are they super fun, but they're also a great way to be able to see all the different areas in our city!
One of the best fests we've been to so far was the Chicago Blues Festival, right in the heart of Millennium Park!
Per usual, we started our day at Cindy's Rooftop! We waited about 20 minutes to get in because we really wanted to show my mom the views ... forgetting that she is seriously afraid of heights.
By this time I was super hangry, and my mom just wanted to be on flat ground, so we headed to Blue Door Kitchen!
If you haven't been to Blue Door Kitchen, I totally recommend checking it out. It has a great ambiance and decor, and the food is fantastic!
After satisfying our hunger we headed back downtown and listened to some seriously great jazz! I somehow managed to not take one single picture while at the festival. I am still kicking myself!
All-in-all we had a fantastic day, and were so happy to have listened to live music (in the shade). We can't wait for next weekend and the next festival!
What is your favorite Chicago festival? Tell us in the comments so we can be sure to check it out!
